Thursday, 1 June 2023

Yesterday, we witnessed a new tradition that will inspire and captivate our ISR community for years to come; the Annual ISR Arts Evening. The Entrance Hall was transformed into a haven of creativity, showcasing the talents of our students in drama, music, and art.

Underneath our vibrant display of flags from all over the world, 20 talented students took the stage, guided by our dedicated music, drama, and art departments. With an audience of 100 guests, the event was a platform for our students to showcase their acting prowess and skillfully play various instruments, including the piano and wind instruments. In addition, an exhibition featured stunning artwork from students across all grade levels left lasting impressions on our guests. The exhibition can still be admired today in our school foyer.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the parents and students who joined us in celebrating this special evening. Your support and presence added to the magic of the event. We would also like to express our appreciation to our ISR Parent Network, whose unwavering support helped make this event possible, as well as to our dedicated SLO students. Another Successful ISR Spring Festival

ISR International Spring Festival 2023

Saturday, 6 May 2023

What a wonderful Saturday we spent together at ISR this weekend for our annual ISR International Spring Festival; a celebration of our school community’s diversity, creativity, and commitment to excellence in education!

The campus was filled with laughter and joy as we welcomed over 1,000 guests on this glorious sunny day!

Our students presented many different projects that they have undertaken this year – from art to a student competition “The Art of Pi” and many more inspiring projects and activities for our visitors. Our teachers outdid themselves with hands-on activities that got students excited about their subjects, promoting learning and inspiring curiosity. Artificial Intelligence was also a significant theme this year and was featured in a variety of subjects to highlight the importance of technological literacy and innovation in today’s world.

In addition, a wide range of activities awaited the children in our schoolyard – from an impressive inflatable pirate ship and an obstacle course to pony rides, a lovingly designed stage program as well as an exciting scavenger hunt; there was a lot to see and explore!

Our student Jasmin led our guests through the varied program as Master of Ceremony and, together with her SLO® team, gave the children a special treat at the end when she handed out the raffle gifts.

Food was in abundance with an excellent selection provided by our parent network’s Taste of the World Buffet. Here visitors could taste local delights from all over the world, from Germany, Turkey, India, cuisine from the Mediterranean and Russian-speaking Communities, America, China, and Japan. Cold drinks, coffees and cookies were supplied by Broich Catering, and we had wonderful barista coffee from an Italian Coffee Bike.

Rounding out the beautiful event were our dedicated cooperation partners that we had the pleasure of welcoming on the day! We thank our partners for their time and visit on Saturday:
Ballet for girls, boys, & adults by Claudia Peltzer, Musicbox Oxana, RKM740, Amerika Haus NRW, Zweelo, Dr. Beate Jürgens & Partner Zahnärzte, PSV, Broich Catering, DEGLions Club Neuss Novaesia

and Melanie Osterried Photography for the amazing photos.

Events like the ISR International Spring Festival help us to strengthen our ties and build new connections at the same time. It is through such events that we can celebrate our shared values, traditions, and aspirations, and foster a sense of belonging and togetherness.

A thoroughly successful family event for all – and we’re already looking forward to our next community events at ISR!
