ISR Partnerships
For over a decade ISR has been established in Neuss and is known as a leading international school in the Neuss, Düsseldorf, and Meerbusch region.
Peter Soliman
Owner of ISR
A good relationship with our sponsors, supporters, and cooperation partners and a lively exchange is of particular concern to us. ISR graduates already have the best IB final grades in the region, and we are already one of the leading international schools in Germany.
Through generous contributions and partnerships, we can offer even more financial scholarships to qualified students, relocation and housing support for our new families, partnerships with kindergartens, sports clubs, and music schools, as well as accept donations for school supplies and equipment.
We look forward to future opportunities to partner with businesses and organizations in our region!

Following in the footsteps of the historic Amerika Haus Cologne, AmerikaHaus NRW e. V. is now a non-profit organization that promotes German-American relations throughout North Rhine-Westphalia.
Their work is centered on hosting events in and related to the fields of politics, culture, economy and education. They see themselves as a modern network organization that cooperates with various transatlantic actors in NRW and beyond in order to offer a platform for transatlantic dialogue. They are particularly committed to engaging and supporting the next transatlantic generation.
The AIWCD has been supporting English-speaking women in Düsseldorf since 1959.They began over 60 years ago with 20 members and have grown to over 225 members from over 20 countries. The AIWCD is all connected by the English language.
For many years ISR has had very close cooperation with the AIWCD where they get together at different events and organize together charity projects. The annual Halloween party for children on our premises is always one of the big highlights for our ISR community.
The ISR is an official partner of the Düsseldorf EG ice hockey club. Together with our students, we attend some DEG home games and participate in the DEG School Days with our American school bus and our school mascot Spirit.
DEG often participates as a partner in internal ISR events at schools and presents itself with join-in activities or hockey training.
More detailed information about the DEG can be found on their website:
Since its foundation in 1956, the Theatergemeinschaft Deutsche Oper is Rhein Düsseldorf Duisburg gGmbH has been one of the most important opera houses in Germany. Under the artistic direction of General Director Prof. Christoph Meier, General Music Director Axel Kober, and Ballet Director Martin Schläpfer, it has developed into one of the top venues for musical theater and dance throughout Europe.
The two venues, the Düsseldorf Opera House and the Duisburg Theatre, which have a total capacity of around 2,400 spectators, offer over 260 events a year. The world’s largest ensemble of soloists includes both experienced and internationally renowned singers, as well as numerous young artists who start their careers in the in-house opera studio, for example.
Great classics of the opera literature – works by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Wagner, and Strauss – are just as much a part of the repertoire of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein as rarities of the Baroque opera, important modern pieces, or commissioned works by composers of our time.
The Ballett am Rhein with its 45 dancers is one of the leading companies in Europe and has recently been voted “Company of the Year” four times by the magazine Tanz.
The Young Opera is dedicated to musical theater for children from the age of four, adolescents, and young adults and thus forms a further central focus at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Every year a new music theater production is created for the two major stages as part of the Young Rhine-Ruhr Operas cooperation. With its music-theater pedagogical supporting program, the Junge Oper team makes a significant contribution to making opera more popular and inspiring new audiences. More than 30,000 children and young people are thus reached per season and inspired for contemporary opera at the Düsseldorf Opera House and the Duisburg Theatre.
The DFB-Junior-Coach certificate is an important pillar in the DFB qualification pyramid and serves as an entry-level certification for the C-Trainer license.
Football enthusiasts from the age of 15 are trained annually in a 40-hour course to become DFB Junior Coaches at ISR by Karsten Baumann, a former professional football player, and a coach and head of sports at ISR. The young people gain coaching experience at an early stage, learn to teach children to enjoy football, and take responsibility for younger players. In addition to sports-specific knowledge, special emphasis is placed on the character development of the young coaches.
Further information on the DFB Junior Coach Program can be found on the website:
The Düsseldorf Hockey Club (DHC) has been the right address for hockey and sports enthusiasts in Düsseldorf for over 110 years. With around 1,700 members, the DHC is considered to be one of the most firmly established and successful sports clubs in NRW’s capital. It is by far the biggest hockey club in the region and furthermore with over 650 youth members is one of the strongest youth clubs nationwide. The DHC is located directly next to the large office complex on Seestern. The entire club facilities were renovated between 2012–2014. DHC currently has two artificial turf hockey fields, six tennis courts, indoor hockey, and a tennis center.
Hockey is an extraordinarily attractive sport because of its athleticism, tactic, and captivating plays. The awareness about the hockey club as well as its membership numbers has been on the rise, primarily due to the success of the German team at the world championship games and Olympics over the past few years.
There are currently 40 hockey teams who play for the DHC, 25 of those being youth teams. The 1st division woman’s team plays in the first national league infield and floor hockey, the 1st division men’s team is in the second national league in floor hockey and in the first national league in field hockey. The women’s floor hockey team won the German Championship in 2015, placed second in 2016 after losing by a thin margin at penalty shooting, and is presently one of the top German teams.
DHC’s biggest international success was winning the floor hockey European Cup in February 2016 in Minsk. Lisa Marie Schütze, Selin Oruz, and Annika Sprink are the current national players and participants for the next Olympic Games in Rio 2016. Oliver Korn won the Olympics twice (2008 and 2012) for the DHC. The men’s team’s greatest success was getting “Deutscher Vizemeistertitel” (second place in Germany) in floor hockey in 2007 and 2008. Many junior national players and A-team national players are among the high performers of the women’s and men’s teams.
DHC places a lot of importance on nurturing high-performance players not only at the athletic level but also at the educational and career level. Hence, the DHC Fellows Program was founded in 2009 to support the members of the national team. This program provides the players with mentors who ensure that the players don’t lose sight of their career goals in spite of their enthusiasm for hockey.
The junior players of the club have won a total of 18 German championship titles. This makes DHC one of the most successful clubs in Germany. Just in 2013 and 2014 alone, the club won three championships and placed second in three German finals. The DHC hopes to take home more German championship titles again this year. Several young players are or were national or West German players. Additionally, DHC is the official state hockey center.
DHC not only values competitive sport, but also believes that sport as a leisure activity is important. There are currently 14 teams that fall under this category, four of them named “Parent Hockey” teams. These teams allow the DHC to successfully help parents and other adults interested in hockey to combine their love for hockey and their professional life. Many parent teams actively integrate parents and youths into the club, thus positively impacting their participation. This aspect literally makes hockey a game for the whole family. The parents pass down their passion for hockey to their children and as soon as the children discover this sport for themselves, they normally get their mother and father back into the sport through the parent hockey teams.
Even tennis has been offered at the DHC since 1938 and is played on six clay courts. In addition to the men and women teams, there are approximately 13 senior and junior teams registered. Tennis training is available year-round by multiple full-time tennis coaches (during winter: training is held on the club-owned indoor court).

Neusser „Tradition“
The HTC Schwarz-Weiss Neuss is a deeply traditional tennis and hockey club, founded in 1928. The club is based in Neuss’ Jahnstadion and has about 1,000 active members. The hockey department has a long tradition in the Bundesliga. Tennis is also offered at the club since its establishment and is often played with much passion across all generations.
Our facilities include:
- Two artificial turf pitches with floodlights
- 10 outdoor tennis courts
- 2 separate indoor tennis courts
- A year-round clubhouse with an inviting sun terrace and Italian flair
- 2 boules courts
- Large lawns
- A children’s playground
The club grounds are lovingly maintained, almost completely fenced, and spacious enough for children to run around and enjoy. The newly renovated clubhouse, which has an Italian flair, has a large outdoor terrace that is so inviting, that you could spend hours there.
Hockey is at the center of the club’s function as it encourages team spirit, and discipline and helps develop essential sporting techniques. More than half of the 1,000 members actively play hockey, which means they have 5 adult teams and 12 youth teams. Children interested in hockey can playfully learn the basics of it beginning at 3 years old. Team spirit and social interaction are just as important as achieving great sporting results. Two full-time coaches, supported by a large number of co-trainers, take care of the children.
The hockey department has produced many national and regional players in the past. In addition, the HTC Club is the official Olympic base and State Training Center.

With the KUMON learning method, your child has the opportunity to develop his or her skills step by step in a friendly, positive learning atmosphere. The method provides joy and fun in learning so that even the smallest children develop a positive incentive to become independent learners. Courage, self-confidence, and appreciation of one’s performance are the basic elements for the learning center team to become successful learners, in addition to concentration and self-organization of their learning environment.
As a cooperation partner of ISR, Bettina Schulenberg, owner of the KUNST am PLATZ studio, has been offering art courses for students of all ages for years. The ISR ART Workshop has become an integral part of the SLO® activities program and takes place in the school’s beautiful, bright Art Studio on the 1st floor. Fun is always guaranteed when pictures are sprinkled with confetti or funny-sounding objects lead to flights of imagination!
The Atelier KUNST am PLATZ is located in the heart of Neuss and only five minutes by car from the ISR campus and offers space for creative work and viewing. Anyone who feels inspired by art can enjoy the range of workshops and the numerous creative offers for children and adults, or even grab a brush themselves.

The renowned music school Musicbox Oxana opened in Meerbusch-Büderich in 2006. Since then, children starting from the age of three to adults receive a comprehensive and qualified musical education. Since 2014, the music school has also been using ISR’s facilities to provide families with exclusive private music instruction. Classes take place after school or during school hours, depending on the schedule of each child.
The range of instruments offered is extremely diverse and ranges from early musical education to major instrument and singing lessons, as well as study preparation. Students of the Musicbox Oxana are also prepared for regional competitions, state competitions, and national competitions. Besides this, lessons are given as required to prepare for IGCSE examinations and also for IB examinations.
The team of teachers is both highly qualified and dedicated, and promotes each student individually, taking into account their talents and their wishes.
At ISR events, the music school presents itself together with its teachers on-site and gives visitors a direct insight into the musical diversity.
ISR is very proud to be a partner of the PSB and to support young people in their sports careers. This includes sponsoring various local clubs and top athletes and expanding the range of activities for our students. In addition to a modern triple sports hall, a climbing wall, and increased cooperation with PSV Neuss, which trains at the ISR’s district sports facility opposite, the modernization of the facility and the new artificial turf pitch have recently made a significant contribution to the school’s own sports promotion.
The association Partner für Sport und Bildung e. V. has set itself the goal of supporting young people who come from the Rhein-Kreis Neuss or are being trained here for high-performance sports and who are pursuing their school or professional careers at the same time. With their financial, material, and non-material commitment, the Partners for Sport and Education thus open up prospects for young, competitive, and top athletes.

Hygienic-clean and healthy indoor air with SAMCO2 systems!
Air is everywhere – unfortunately, clean and healthy air is not. We spend most of our everyday life indoors and are exposed to daily dangers from viruses, bacteria, and other harmful particles, and not just since the worldwide Corona pandemic.
SAMCO2 GmbH offers a widely applicable solution for indoor air disinfection. The innovative plasma ionization technology used, which is protected by a patent, is based on the natural laws of physics: Ionized oxygen combines with all kinds of viruses, bacteria and dirt particles, neutralizes them and thus purifies the air.
Also in the common areas of the ISR, where many students and teachers spend their time (such as the library or the cafeteria), everyone is effectively protected by the SAMCO2 systems. A real WIN-WIN cooperation!
The Theodor Fliedner Boarding House in Düsseldorf is one of only a few boarding houses located in a major city in Germany. This area is very attractive to live and learn, because not only is it located directly on the Rhine, but also has a great connection to the inner-city transportation system. The Theodor-Fliedner-Boarding House offers its intercultural services in a comfortable atmosphere to 65 students from different nationalities. The students visit a variety of schools in Düsseldorf and its surrounding areas because the boarding house is not affiliated with only one school. Excellent individual support, recreational activities, room, and catering is offered year-round.
