Parent ‘shout-out’s’

In honour of Random Acts of Kindness week, we have asked parents to share with us any ‘shout-out’s’ that they have about our ISR staff. Thank you all for sharing your positive comments! See here what’s being said by our parents!

• Thanks to all the elves in the cafeteria, cleaning team, security, janitor office etc. for making our school life run so smoothly!
• Ms. Maier (bus driver/Wabbels) : punctual and very responsible!!!!
• Cleaning staff:  Everyday engaged to keep the school tidy!
• Felicitas (kiosk): Espresso with smiles!!!
• Ms. Susie for her spunk and the ever crazy crafts the kids create at “creative minds” classes 🙂
• It is always nice to be greeted by Mr. Steinman every morning.
• Ms. Peltzer brings professionalism to the ballet studio.
• Dear Ms. Susie, Creative Minds is the best activity I could have chosen!! It‘s my child’s favourite day!
• Security Guard:  We admire how you remember all students with their names and their parents. We feel safe as long as you take care of our kids.
• Thank you first of all the staff for creating such a lovely and understanding environment for our kids. My kids always love to go to school, sometimes my youngest one even wants to go on weekends.
• I want to thank Ms. Young and Ms. Morris. Their love and patience with my son has helped him make great progress.
• A big thank you to Mr. Mehr who enables the kids to have so much fun with maths and science due to his own enthusiasm as he really loves those subjects!
• Thank you, Ms. Carolus, for making learning so much fun!
• Thank you to the whole primary teachers team for sparking the joy of learning in our kids!
• We thank Mr. Soliman for saving the school in 2013 and now ISR is better than ever!
• Thank you, Natalia, for always having a friendly smile for us!
• Thank you, Ms. Keaton and Mr. Banks, for sharing your love for books with our kids!
• Thank you, Melanie, Sara, and Stefan, for working so hard for SLO!
• We would like to thank Mr. Cheraki & Ms. Hautz for their enthusiasm in teaching Math and Spanish, which has always motivated our child! We say thank you so much to Mr Bates for apparently being such an inspiration to our teenager by answering thoughtfully and when needed with a great sense of humor nearly every question she poses – be it about school topics be it about life in general!
• To all the teaching staff: Thank you so much for not stopping to think about how to motivate the pupils and therefore to teach them something for life: that studying and learning can -sometimes – also be fun!
• Dear Ms. Tressel, thank you for caring that much if the kids are feeling bad and ill. We appreciate your weekly notice in the newsletter. It is very helpful.
• Ms. Dickers, thank you for giving my boy guidance.  You are kind, professional and always render the support. You are super!
• A special thank you to Mrs. Lyons – you are always present and attentive to the children’s and our needs and issues.
• Ms. Little, thanks a lot for being so kind and sentimental to our kids.
• Ms. Morris, you’re doing a very great job. It’s a pleasure having you as G1&2 coordinator.
• Ms. Ghica, you’re always so helpful. Thanks!
• Natalia, the reception is nothing without you!
• Mr. Mo and Mr. Jeff, you’re the heroes of our kids. Thanks for all your daily efforts!
• Ms Woldt: such a young woman, well-educated and totally engaged. She has some new ideas to take the best out of the students to prepare them for middle school! Ms Brand: She creates her subject very interesting so that the students feel engaged to learn more and have fun during a well packed day.
• Mr Mo, thank you for being the best supervisor: the children follow you to the word, because they love you
• Mr. Baumann, thank you that you really want to teach the girls good soccer.
• Mrs. Lorenzen, thanks for having fun with the children in the German language.
• Ms. Insell for motivating, loving and helping our son to grow a happy student.
• Ms. McGee for caring so much about my child’s future
• Ms. Woldt, thank you for your positive attitude and your creative ideas!
• Ms. Ghica, thank you for always seeing the best in each and every student!
• Mr. Anderson for being tough but making math fun!
• Mr. Foy, what can we say…. stay who you are, keep your energy, motivation and stay critical
• Ms. McLeod for her secret stash of goodies
• Ms. Muller for encouraging my child to read
• Mr. Jochem’s dedication to the Athletics team is great!  The athletes really enjoy themselves and look up to him for guidance.
• We thank Ms. Palmieri for always helping practice AMSs so that my child has good grades.  We also thank her because the lessons with her are always fun. She helps the children when they have problems.  There are no words to describe how amazing Ms Schmidt is! Ms Guinn has instilled a love of math in my daughter.  My daughter is so proud of herself and always shares what she’s learning. Ms Guinn makes math fun!
• Mrs K is the best, she is so smart and helpful and a lovely person.
• We say a big thank you to Mr Mo and Mr Jeff, our kids feel so secure with you.
• A special hug for Mrs Duenas from KG2. She is professional and sensitive.
• My daughter loves that Herr Chiriatti is silly and sings during class.
• Special thanks for always smiling and laughing and have a positive energy to Mrs Rebecca 🙂
• Frau Woldt’s smile and positive re-enforcement is always a breath of fresh air. Ms Bucher has found a way to share her incredible talent with our kids. The enthusiasm seen at the concerts from the primary students show how much she is respected and what a great teacher she is.

Random Acts of Kindness Week

Today, ISR kicked off the beginning of Random Acts of Kindness Week with the simple goal of spreading kindness across the ISR community. Our Student Life Organization has organized a variety of activities including anonymous compliment bags, student-teacher quotes, Valentine’s Day Card sale, spirit day and a bake sale.

This busy week aims to promote compassion, fairness, gratitude, respect, friendship, responsibility, and integrity. Everyone can use more kindness in their lives and this week ISR is proud to support spreading positivity and love to all those in our community and beyond!

DELF Certificates at ISR

Yesterday 22 of our students received their DELF Scolaire Diplomas, diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education to prove the French-language skills of non-French candidates. ISR students received these special certificates for successfully completing their French language A1, A2, and B1 courses!

Great job and congratulations to all our “French speaking” students!
