Grade 2 visited Tonhalle for a production of ‘Peter and the Wolf in Düsseldorf’. In Music class, students prepared background information on an assigned character along with a prop to symbolize the character.
A representative from each class presented the class’s research to the rest of the audience and the musicians. Students received an up-close look and listen to the flute, oboe, French horn, bassoon, and clarinet. And as the piece was narrated exclusively in German, students received and extra dose of German!

On Saturday, together with ISR’s Indian community, we celebrated the Indian Harvest Festivals of – Lohri, Makar Sankranti, and Pongal here on campus. What an amazing and colorful event! Our Indian community organized great performances with music and dance, incredibly beautiful costumes, delicious Indian food, and other fun activities.
The highlight of the festival was a traditional bonfire accompanied by Indian drums to celebrate the end of the winter season and to rejoice and celebrate the beginning of longer days.
We would like to thank all our families and guests for this successful event!
The Nutcracker
The Nutcracker
Monday, 07 January 2019
Before the holiday break Musicbox Oxana (Büderich and Neuss) performed ” The Nutcracker” with artistic support from the ISR International School on the Rhine at the C. Bechstein Centrum Düsseldorf.
The children-only fairy tale was supported by ISR’s Young Artist Group and Creative Minds groups who decorated the concert halls in a hand-painted “Nutcracker” motif. The group started preparing the music, dancing, and acting several months ago helping to ensure the performance was a big success. From the actors, dancers, and musicians, everyone did a fantastic job! Great work everyone!
