Student Spotlights: Spotlight On Our Student Yasin

Friday, 27 August 2021

This week, we spotlight our twelve-grader Yasin, who joined ISR in second grade. Yasin has been part of the ISR family for ten years and he is a polite and confident student. Yasin has a good sense of his fellow-men, and is known for his friendly and helpful character. In academics, he shows interest and enthusiasm for Computer Science.  He “is very helpful and dependable in the classroom and has strengthened his skills in the theoretical aspects of the course. Yasin is continuing to grow in independence, demonstrated through his chosen topic for the Internal assessment which is about creating an e-commerce website” according to his teacher Mr. Ellis.

Also, his former teacher Ms. Brentnall still remembers him very well as a polite, friendly and positive member of the class : ”he has successfully taught Advising lessons with Grade 8c, and has significantly improved his organizational skills and deadline meeting” she adds. Yasin impresses his teachers not only in the academic area but also through his character. His Geography teacher Mr. Bates sees him as a very attentive, respectful student who always contributes in class. Mr Bates says, “his quick-wit and global thinking is an asset to his studies as well as his non-academic life. His willingness to help  is very, very much appreciated.”

We are very proud to spotlight Yasin one of ISR’s many outstanding students!

Every Friday, our Student Spotlight Project aims to highlight one of our outstanding students who represent our school motto, “we enable great minds and strong characters”. No matter if it is academic success, special commitment or outstanding character traits – we look forward to sharing each of these success stories.
