Spotlight On Our Student You You

This week, we spotlight our eighth-grader You Yang, who just joined ISR this year and is already making big impressions. You Yang is an exceptional and very mature student and a role model for younger and older students. He is always polite and respectful and has an excellent sense of humor. During class, You Yang always tries his best and shows interest in learning new things, even if they seem to be challenging. He wants to learn and always asks questions during classes. He likes reading and can argue excellently and inspire those around him. “You Yang is a pleasure to have in homeroom – he presented an inspirational book as part of our “Grade 8 has talent” and convinced many of us to read it.”, as his homeroom teacher, Ms. Brentnall adds.

Michelle Schmitz, Middle School Student Counsellor, explains,  “You Yang Li, who goes by the name “You You”, has sparkled since day one.  He has shown not only to his teachers but to his fellow peers what a role model student and human being should be. You You is a highly respectful and respected student who is naturally kind and polite to all.  He is the first person to volunteer to help others, regardless of who they are, and always offers sound and mature advice whenever possible.  I was, and remain, highly impressed by You You’s courtesy and insight. He truly exemplifies what it means to be a person of integrity!“

We are very proud to spotlight You You , one of ISR’s many outstanding students!

Every Friday, our Student Spotlight Project aims to highlight one of our outstanding students who, in line with this year’s theme, is striving for “extraordinary achievements” on a daily basis. No matter if it is academic success, special commitment or outstanding character traits – we look forward to sharing each of these success stories.
