Student Spotlight: Spotlight On Our Student Maurice

Friday, 29 October 2021

This week, we spotlight our eighth-grade student Maurice, who joined ISR in Kindergarten. Maurice is a very hardworking student and with his calm manner, he contributes to a nice learning atmosphere. He is a very intuitive, kind, inquisitive, and helpful student at ISR and his advising teacher, Ms. Schmitz, adds, “Maurice is a joy to have in advising class as he contributes well-thought answers to discussions and is not afraid to ask daring questions.  He truly exemplifies ISR’s slogan, It’s cool to be good.” Maurice loves to write stories in German and uses his wide range of creativity to do so. His German teacher, Ms. Stahl, also confirms his talent and adds, “His ideas are creative and interesting. He is a real asset to have in my class”.

Maurice is very popular with his classmates and is especially liked for his bright and friendly nature. He has improved incredibly in academics and works hard and is focused on his successes. His English teacher, Mr. Lysewycz, finally adds, ”I am so impressed with Maurice! Look at where he’s come from last year! He’s always proactive in preparation for assessment tasks and takes so much pride in his handwriting. He often contributes and it’s always relevant. He stands testament to how a hard-working attitude and a little pride in your work can take you far. His positivity is catching, and it’s always a joy to see him in first thing in the morning.”

We are very proud to spotlight Maurice, one of ISR’s many outstanding students!

Every Friday, our Student Spotlight Project aims to highlight one of our outstanding students who represent our school motto, “we enable great minds and strong characters”. No matter if it is academic success, special commitment, or outstanding character traits – we look forward to sharing each of these success stories.
