Student Spotlight: Spotlight On Our Student Jade

Friday, 5 November 2021

This week, we spotlight our talented eighth-grader Jade, who joined ISR last year. Jade is a very ambitious student and was able to convince her teachers of her abilities in a very short time. She is characterized by her friendly nature and her helpful character. “Jade is wonderful! She is truly a model student in the way that she seeks input from her teachers to produce the best writing she can. Her effort and sustained dedication to her studies is admirable and commendable. We are lucky to have you in our classes, Jade! She is going places!” her English teacher, Ms. DeWitt states.

One of her great passions is music, and Jade is an extremely talented musician who has been playing the clarinet since she was seven years old. She won first prizes at the Jugend Musiziert Düsseldorf and competed in the national competition last year and this year. She also won first prize at the Gerd-Högener-Wettbewerb 2020 and 2021. She has also qualified for the talent program of the Clara-Schumann Musikschule Düsseldorf called Studienvorbereitende Ausbildung. Jade’s determination and hard work were part of these successes. These qualities make her not only an outstanding student but also a fantastic musician. She works hard to pursue her goals and has twice-a-week clarinet lessons as well as additional piano lessons weekly. Furthermore, she also applied for the foundation Haus der Talente, which promotes exceptional talent in Düsseldorf, and was accepted.

Her musical talent is outstanding, and we are all incredibly proud of her! We are happy to spotlight Jade, one of ISR’s many outstanding students!

Every Friday, our Student Spotlight Project aims to highlight one of our outstanding students who represent our school motto, “we enable great minds and strong characters”. No matter if it is academic success, special commitment, or outstanding character traits – we look forward to sharing each of these success stories.
