Student Spotlight: Spotlight On Our Student Gioya

Friday, 1 April 2022

This week, we spotlight our ninth-grader Gioya, who joined ISR in Kindergarten. Gioya stands out for her friendliness and helpfulness and has developed a lot during her time at ISR. She is active in the ISR SLOⓇ Department as a Prefect and shows lots of engagement in her role. “Gioya has stepped up to the plate this year, taking the role of ISR radio presenter head-on. For many students, this role is a daunting one, but Gioya is committed to doing her best and is succeeding in her announcements. Through this, she has shown that she is reliable and responsible and sharing important information with the whole school is essential. She is kind and cooperates consistently with teachers and her SLOⓇ teammates. We hope that she will continue to thrive in her prefect role.”, says Ms. Bezuidenhout, ISR Student Life Coordinator.

Gioya is not only convincing in the Student Life Organization but also in the subjects of Physics and Chemistry. Her teacher, Ms. Mitchell, considers her an excellent student in both subjects. In addition to her academic success, she and seven other ISR students competed in a television show last year. There, the students, along with another school, won against well-known faces from German television and proved themselves in various knowledge questions as well as sports activities. Together they not only represented ISR in the best possible way but also showed courage by participating in this television show. Gioya showed self-confidence and proved a strong character, true to our motto: We Enable Great Minds and Strong Characters.

We are very proud to spotlight Gioya, one of ISR’s many outstanding students!

Every Friday, our Student Spotlight Project aims to highlight one of our outstanding students who represent our school motto, “we enable great minds and strong characters”. No matter if it is academic success, special commitment, or outstanding character traits – we look forward to sharing each of these success stories.
