Student Spotlights: Spotlight On Our Student Elisabeth

Friday, 21 May 2021

This week, we spotlight our  Grade 10 student Elisabeth, who joined ISR in 2014. Elisabeth, who is fondly nicknamed Lisi by her friends, is an intelligent student who stands out for her creativity and love for animals.

Her Academic Coordinator Ms. McGee says this about her, “We are proud of all Elisabeth has accomplished this school year and enjoy working with her on this academic journey. We look forward to what the future brings for her!” Currently, Elisabeth is writing her IGCSE examinations in Maths, Biology, German First Language, English First Language, and Geography.

In addition to her academic studies, she has recently earned school-wide recognition for designing the winning 2021 Yearbook cover. The yearbook selection committee, received several cover designs anonymously and the winning design was created by Elisabeth. She is not only a talented student and artist, she is also passionate about horses and she regularly spends time grooming, exercising and taking her horse, Racita, riding. This passion has driven her to research programs which have a focus on horses and equine science. As such, Elisabeth plans on pursuing an Equine Science Degree at University. Her math teacher, Ms. Jordanova, says this about her, “ she always brings a smile to my face because of her positive attitude, her jovial spirit is infectious! The effort she puts in to perform well in Mathematics motivates me to help her be successful and achieve her goals. As with everything she does, there is a personal touch and this makes her stand out from other students.”

We are very proud to spotlight Elisabeth one of ISR’s many outstanding students!

Every Friday, our Student Spotlight Project aims to highlight one of our outstanding students who represent our school motto, “we enable great minds and strong characters”. No matter if it is academic success, special commitment or outstanding character traits – we look forward to sharing each of these success stories.
