Spotlight On Our Student Evan

This week, we would like to spotlight Evan! Evan is in grade 8 and with the help of a friend, he decided to create an SLO^® activity for 1st–4th graders called ISR Multisport Club. The goal was that the students would get the opportunity to play a different sport every other week.

Each week, Evan decides which activity will take place and he sits down together with Mr. Banks, who is supervising the activity, to make sure the logistics/timing fit for the age of the group. Through these meetings, Mr. Banks has seen his planning and management skills improving weekly. Using his strong leadership and creative skills, Evan has already successfully guided a group of 20 students through 3 different activities. We love and encourage the initiative of an 8th grader running their own SLO^® activity.
