ISR Students support dementia patients in Neuss
Wednesday, 04 November 2020
As part of their IB CAS program, seven of our eleventh-graders have been delighting dementia patients at the St. Augustinus Group Memory Center, Neuss, with musical performances on piano, guitar, clarinet and even singing. Our students always manage to inspire the patients with their artistic skills and, especially with songs from times gone by, sometimes even achieving a sing-along.
According to the Head of Social Services at the centrum, Ms. Manke-Treptow, music has an inestimable value and a decisive influence in the treatment of dementia patients. Accordingly, other ISR CAS students would also like to support the Memory Center by decorating and refurbishing old music boxes to donate to the Center.
We would like to thank our committed CAS students, our CAS Coordinator as well as the Memory Center in Neuss for this wonderful and important joint activity!
