ISR Student Gian Wins First Prize at Jugend forscht Regional Competition
Friday, March 7th, 2025
We are pleased to share an exceptional achievement from one of our students, Gian, who truly exemplifies ISR’s motto: “It’s cool to be good!”
Gian recently achieved remarkable success at the 30th Regional Jugend forscht competition, one of Germany’s most prestigious contests for young researchers in STEM fields. His project, titled “The relationship between the inclination of wind turbine rotor blades and the voltage generated,” earned him first place in the Physics category for his age group. This outstanding accomplishment is a testament to the academic excellence and dedication we cultivate at ISR.
Our Head of Science, Mr. O’Brien, proudly accompanied Gian to the event and shared his thoughts: “Gian did himself, his family, and ISR very proud with his presentation on the pitch and orientation of wind turbine blades and their power generation. He presented with confidence and ease, leaving a strong impression on the Jugend forscht judges as well as members of the public who visited his stand. We are very much looking forward to the Landeswettbewerb, which will take place on April 5th in Essen.”
We are excited to support Gian as he progresses to the State-level competition and continues his journey of academic excellence and scientific exploration. His success serves as an inspiration to our entire school community and reflects our unwavering commitment to fostering talent and a passion for learning.
