ISR Open House 2026

On Saturday, we were delighted to welcome many visitors, families, cooperation partners, and team members to our ISR campus in Neuss for this year’s ISR Open House. The day began with information presentations in German, English, and Japanese, giving interested families an insight into ISR and our educational approach. During these presentations, we also introduced our new ISR Elementary School campus in Düsseldorf, which will open in August 2027 – an exciting next chapter for our ISR community and beyond.

Throughout the day, our dedicated Student Leadership Council (SLC) members guided families around the campus in several languages, sharing their experiences and helping visitors discover life at ISR. From Kindergarten activities to lessons in English, German, Mathematics, and Science, guests had many opportunities to experience our learning environment firsthand.

Our students and teachers brought learning to life through a varied program! The Grade 7 and 8 Science Fair and the open science laboratories showcased student investigations, while our foreign language exhibition featured French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and Turkish. Art displays, interactive Languages and Humanities activities, and presentations on the International Baccalaureate (IB) core offered further insights into learning at ISR. Visitors also explored artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and robotics, while stage performances in the cafeteria added to the lively atmosphere.

We were pleased to welcome our cooperation partners Rochusclub Düsseldorf, Musicbox Oxana, Ballet by Claudia Peltzer, HDI Versicherungen, Ausblick Immobilien, Schwimmschule Wasserlust, Yoga by Dr. Winnie Chow, Famville, Kunst am Platz, GradTutor, Broich Catering, Zweelo, Kumon Connect, the International English Library, the American International Women’s Club Düsseldorf, and the British Women’s Club Düsseldorf. Their participation enriched the event and introduced families to a wide range of activities and services within our wider community. Our IB students also hosted stands for their CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) projects “A Bracelet at a Time,” “Dots for Donations,” and “Butterfly,” offering handmade creations in support of their initiatives.

Our wonderful ISR Parent Network organized a bake sale in the cafeteria, offering an impressive selection of homemade cakes and pastries. Broich Catering served warm meals and drinks, while Coffee Bar Bacio e Amore and Angelo’s ice cream truck added variety with freshly brewed coffee and ice cream. Our SLC students also contributed to the welcoming atmosphere with their popcorn and waffle sale. Young book lovers also enjoyed browsing the ISR Library’s children’s book sale, where they could find new reading favorites to take home.

A heartfelt thank-you goes to the ISR Parent Network for their generous initiative and to all the families who contributed their delicious creations. We also extend our sincere thanks to our Class Representatives, who joined the presentations, answered questions, and shared their perspectives with interested families.

Thank you to all students, teachers, staff, families, and partners whose commitment helped make our ISR Open House such a memorable day. The event reflected the curiosity, warmth, and strong sense of community that make ISR special! It truly lived up to the ISR Parent Network’s motto: “Good schools are made of students – great schools are made of families!”
