Grade 10 Business and Economics students at the Toyota Headquater

Thursday, 05 December 2019

On December 3rd, Grade 10 Business and Economics students had the opportunity to visit Toyota Headquarters in Cologne and had the honour to be welcomed in person by Alain Uyttenhoven (President) and Thomas Schalberger (GM PR).

In the beginning, our students were given a presentation about Toyota´s growth throughout history and the company’s plans for the future. At the same time, the speakers talked about career opportunities in the company and showed our students, for example, what entry-level opportunities await them after graduating from ISR.

After this, students were given a tour through Toyota Collection Hall, with 70 exhibits, which is one of the largest collections outside Japan and represents a journey through the history of the company. Among the highlights is the sports car icon Toyota 2000 GT, of which only 351 units were produced in the 1960s. This turned out to be an informative and enjoyable visit, that left students much more informed about the car industry in Germany and the world. We would like to thank Mr. Uyttenhoven and Mr. Schalberger for this great day!
