ISR For Charity: Students sew 250 masks for the St. Augustine Group
Two weeks ago our partner, the Rotary Club of Neuss, made us aware that the the St. Augustinus Gruppe Neuss was looking for self-made masks for their numerous health and care facilities. Various families as well as our Grade 11 CAS students saw this as a fantastic opportunity to help out and sewed hundreds of masks for those in need!
Last Wednesday, we successfully collected an impressive amount of 250 self-made masks and handed them over to the St. Augustine Group. Max, one of the students who chose this project as part of his CAS program and sewed 100 masks in ISR colors, along with our CAS coordinator, Andre Urban, handed over the donation to Ms. Souli and Mr. Richter, one of the Directors of the St. Augustine group. To round off the donation, ISR additionally added 300 disposable masks. All these masks will be now given to homes for the elderly and facilities for people with disabilities.
We are very happy that so many ISR students have participated in the project and that the school community has once again shown such strong cohesion!
