This week, we would like to spotlight our 10 graders Daniel, who joined ISR 10 years ago in Kindergarten! Daniel is a polite young man with a great sense of humor and his friends appreciate his positive energy. He is passionate about Art and Design, which can be seen in his history of SLO® Art courses, and his Current grade 10 projects.
Our spotlight this week is on our third grader, Lorelies, who has been part of the ISR community since Kindergarten. Lorelies, called Lori for short, is known for her friendliness and helpfulness, and is highly appreciated by her friends. She welcomes everyone with a smile on her face and her positive attitude is contagious. The welfare of her fellow human beings is extremely important to her and she always tries to support her friends and help in every way possible.
This week, we would like to spotlight our radiant and loving KG student Lena. If you see Lena for the first time she can seem very reserved, but once she is comfortable with her surroundings she flourishes. You can be sure she will show the power of her determination. In KG1A, Lena engages in all topics with enthusiasm, she is always ready to learn and ready to ask questions.
This week we would like to place the spotlight on our new student Atsuya, who started in Grade 5 this week. He starts in unusual circumstances, as he had gone straight into virtual classes and has not met any classmates in person so far! As the schools will be closed until April 19th, we are happy to introduce him to our school community in our Spotlight today.
This week, we spotlight our first-grader Sahej. Sahej loves Advising lessons and always has wonderful comments to make. He is a very thoughtful and insightful student, and he always brings so much to discussions in the classroom. His teacher Ms. Stenning-Smith says about him, “Sahej is an absolute delight to have in my First Grade Class. He demonstrates integrity every day and is a wonderful role model for his fellow peers.
This week we spotlight Emma, a Grade 10 student. Currently, she is preparing for her IGCSE exams in May. Her continued hard work and attentiveness will help bring her success in the IB Diploma Programme next year where she will take HL Chemistry and HL Biology to prepare for future studies in Medicine at University.
Yiting is an extremely conscientious student both inside and outside school. Not only does she fully apply herself to her IB studies, but she already engages in additional preparatory reading for her intended degree program in Law, asking questions about the subject at every opportunity. Remarkably, she still finds time to practice piano for several hours each day.
