Benny S. is in Grade 2C and he is an exemplary student at ISR. At our recent Term 1 Award Ceremony, he won the outstanding student award in his homeroom, as well as in PE and IT. Benny is a kind and helpful student who is always there to lend a hand to anyone who needs one.
This term ISR began a partnership with the American Women’s Club of Düsseldorf to offer a charity focused activity called Heart 2 Heart.
Millions of students in over 180 countries are taking part in this fantastic event. Students at ISR in Grades 2 – 6 have been participating in an Hour of code, doing fun programming activities such as Minecraft, Dance party and Star Wars.
Last week our Grade 1 to 4 students celebrated their accomplishments in Term 1 at our award ceremonies. Students were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement in each subject and for their effort and participation in class.
Today, ISR hosted about 100 students, from our school and from neighboring schools, for the "DFB Paule-Schnupperabzeichen", football training certificate program.
David I., Grade 12, is an environmentalist, volunteer, and filmmaker. David has worked to set up the ‘Ocean Cleaning Project’ to remove plastic waste from the ocean, and he has gotten involved in an environmental project in his home town as well as working as a volunteer with refugees.
We have been learning about the meaning of Thanksgiving in our Kindergarten. In celebration of this holiday, ISR Kindergarters enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal together on Thursday.
