We warmly invite interested families to the ISR Information Day on November 22, 2014 at 2pm. In this informational event, we will explain what ISR offers that is different from other schools, what students learn and how, and the values we stand for as an international school.
ISR students will gladly offer tours of the school and will be available to answer your questions. We look forward to meeting you! For more information, please call us at: 02131 40388-0, -14, -15.
Last Saturday ISR hosted an Open House. It was a day full of fun and new faces.
Visitors toured the school, participated in chemistry and physics experiments and enthusiastically took part in a “History Bee.” Music was provided by the Swing Band from “Musicbox Oxana” and families were very active in the Kindergarten. We had many new families who were interested in the school and who used this opportunity to get to know and appreciate the new ISR.
Mr. Napp, the City Mayor of Neuss visited ISR today. He met with the school management and a small group of ISR parents, as well as guests Ilya Roshkov from the Russian Consulate in Bonn, the Managing Director of the IHK (Chamber of Commerce) of the middle Lower Rhine region Dr. Porschen and Mr. Werhahn from the Advisory Board of ISR.
At the new ISR, a new wind is blowing, in all senses of the of the word. The winner of the Audi Zentrum Düsseldorf/Neuss prize contest accepted his big win today. At ISR’s Opening Ceremony in September, individuals could enter a raffle to win a weekend drive in the Audi A3 cabrio/convertible. Mr. H.G. Tressel was the happy winner and looks forward to spending the weekend with the wind in his face as he enjoys the driving the A3 convertible.
ISR student Felix Ehrlich (Grade 12) won the German Championships for glider flying. After competing against other pilots in North Rhine-Westphalia the weekend before, he qualified to take part in the national competition. At the airfield of Breitscheid close to the Hessian border the three best pilots of each “Bundesland” were rated upon their precise flying skills while performing assigned exercises. In three flights every detail was assessed including an on spot landing of the glider.
During last weekend’s Sunflower Festival in Meerbusch-Büderich, ISR students painted the faces of about 70 Meerbusch children. There were a lot of beautiful and happy children on the enjoyable and sunny afternoon.
It was a pleasure for members of our ISR community to be there!
ISR pupils’ art works inspired by classic cars will be displayed at the Classic Remise, Harffstraße 110a, Düsseldorf.
