During last weekend’s Sunflower Festival in Meerbusch-Büderich, ISR students painted the faces of about 70 Meerbusch children. There were a lot of beautiful and happy children on the enjoyable and sunny afternoon.
It was a pleasure for members of our ISR community to be there!
ISR pupils’ art works inspired by classic cars will be displayed at the Classic Remise, Harffstraße 110a, Düsseldorf. The work will feature at the ‘Classic Remise Oldtimer-Herbstfest’ which takes places from the 4th–5th of October. Come and see beautiful Oldtimers and beautiful art pieces of our students in a nice and modern ambiente of the Meilenwerk Düsseldorf.
This week the Krocky-Mobil visited our school for the 10th time. The Krocky-mobil is a crocodile-themed van owned by a local dentist, who makes regular visits to ISR to check kids’ dental health. The 3rd and 4th grades were introduced to important aspects of dental health through having their teeth examined, interactive demonstrations and discussions. For example, the students learned how proper sitting posture can help teeth stay healthy and straight throughout their lives. The “tooth disco” was again a special hit, which focused on the effectives of brushing your teeth.
We thank the Kieferorthopädische Praxis Dr. Fleddermann for bringing dental health and orthodontic care to our children to prevent future dental problems.
ISR warmly invites all interested families to our Open House on October 25 from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. Take advantage of this opportunity to get to know ISR, including our teaching environment, international teaching staff, students and families, as well as our Student Life Organization’s structure and projects. Experience trial classes (demo lessons) in various subjects taught in English to get a realistic idea of our teaching methods and learning environment.
Furthermore, enjoy snacks, beverages and entertainment while you get to know ISR better. We look forward to seeing you there!
Our new partner, the Hanyuan Chinese School of Dusseldorf, GmbH, began offering Mandarin classes this week at ISR. Teachers from the Hanyuan Chinese School teach Mandarin for native speakers, as well as for beginners.
We are excited about the growing interest in this new ISR language offering, which is in addition to the other languages already taught at ISR: English, German, French and Spanish.
