Summer, Sun, Games and Fun: this year too we opened our doors to local students who attended our annual Summer School. Summer school participants (Kindergarten to Grade 6) enjoyed the beautiful weather and attended a unique program that was both educational and fun.
Accompanied by glorious summer weather, the season opening of the Düsseldorf EG started with a bang on Saturday 1st August 2015. Hundreds of fans, enthusiasts, sponsors and sports enthusiasts joined the team at the forecourt of ISS Dome to kick off the start of a new successful season. ISR contributed to the good mood and was represented though its mascot Spirit and the brilliant yellow school bus. Younger fans were especially excited to meet our mascot Spirit and danced with him in the sun. The older fans clamored to be photographed in front of the traditional American school bus.
Dear friends of ISR!
ISR is in motion with our new American style school bus we have been long waited for! We would be delighted to meet you all on our tour through the region with our new bus!
No bright sun in Neuss today, but we are happy for our bright yellow bus!

Approximately 150 students and their parents have decided to continue learning in a fun atmosphere with us over the summer.
English, German and Math skills are practiced in the morning with qualified native English and German speaking teachers. Math is also taught in English and the children learn to improve their numerical and critical thinking in a playful way.
This year’s ISR sports camp flew by quickly. Around 70 children came together to take part in an action packed week. Not only did the children play soccer, basketball and floorball, but they also went on a variety of fieldtrips including activities like climbing, water rafting, snowboarding, and windsurfing.
The sports camp was ended with an award ceremony and barbecue for the sporty participants and their parents at the Tennis Club Blau Weiss in Neuss. Hope that more of you join us on our fun adventures in the ISR summer camp!
All good things must come to an end and June 26th was the end of the 2014/2015 school year at ISR. Together with the ISR staff band, we sang a few songs and celebrated a great year. Afterwards, the school director, Mrs. Eileen Lyons, and owner, Mr. Peter Soliman, expressed their congratulations and thanks for such a successful year to students and staff.
This year’s SLO® introduced some new additions to the team and we are already ecstatic about working with them next year. We wish all of our students, parents, teachers, and staff a great summer break and we look forward to seeing everyone again next school year!
