Musicbox Oxana’s Summer Concert at ISR
Thanks to the large number of performers, willing to play in front of a big audience, this year’s summer concert was divided in two parts.
The first part started with the younger children from kindergarten and elementary school. The event kicked off with a fantastic performance by special guest Philipp Barth, the 13-year-old drummer, who was recently awarded the second prize at the national competition Jugend musiziert. Philipp duly received a big round applause for his performance and his great achievement. The young performers enthusiastically sang a children's song in English and German, followed by more than 30 single performances by the fledging pianists, drummers, flutists and solo singers. All the children gave their best and enjoyed the applause of their parents, grandparents and friends.
After a short break, the second part of the concert started with a trio: Alexandra on the piano, Philipp on the saxophone and Hugo on the electric guitar, Take Five '- a lovely introduction to the concert of the advanced students.
During this part of the concert, it was quickly clear how much work, motivation and perseverance was invested in such successful performances. The performances were varied, because a lot of instruments were represented: piano, guitar, violin, drums and classical and pop singing.
These were two absolutely successful student concerts with an enthusiastic audience and very proud students and their teachers.
The next concert by Musicbox Oxana, this time with their Meerbusch pupils, will also take place on the 1st July 2017 at ISR in our cafeteria. Every music enthusiast is welcome to enjoy the concerts by our young students (starting at 12:30 pm) and our advanced students (starting at 15:30).
