Visit from Tanzania
Last week Toima & Philomena Kiroya, both of the Maasai tribe, visited ISR and held presentations for students in Grade 2, 6 &7. Both have devoted themselves to developing school projects in Tanzania as well as improve the welfare of Tanzanian women through their foundation “ECLAT.”
The students learned about the Maasai’s culture, way of live and daily challenges. The students were very engaged and asked open questions about housing, school life, beliefs and customs. ISR has committed to setting up a fundraising action to support the construction of new classrooms in Tanzania.
A big thank you to Ms Trienekens-Domrös and Mr Heimbach (Upendo) for arranging this enriching visit.
