Summer sing-along songs, colourful decorations, enthralling performances, a cafeteria filled to the brim, and many happy faces at ISR! It was once again the week of our annual Summer Concerts. Today was the last day of the concerts and we look back fondly at the memories created by our students over the last three days.
Last Wednesday, Grade 3 had a fabulous time visiting the Odysseum Köln on their field trip. We saw our 3rd graders transform into young scientists right before our eyes.
We had another exciting day in kindergarten today. It started off with the Annual Summer Concert, the students sang cheerful, catchy summer songs that were performed in both English and German and then we had a gorgeous ballet recital performed by the pre-school dance group.
Kindergarten – KG2 had a very exciting and sunny day at the Krefeld Zoo. They saw and learned about lots of exciting animals, got to pet the pygmy donkeys, hold some butterflies and enjoyed some free play on the fantastic playground. What a nice and exciting day!
Our youngest ones in KG1A and KG1B were all very excited to have their very first field trip to the Aquazoo in Düsseldorf! Apart from the fascinating bus trip, they enjoyed seeing and learning about all the colourful fish, sharks, alligators and penguins. Although it was a long and tiring day for them, the students were all cheerful and full of laughs when they returned after a successful excursion!
Today we had a special guest in our kindergarten – Ms Stumpf, a nutritionist and mother at ISR. She came to talk about healthy food and eating habits. The children were very excited to share their knowledge and to learn more about what is good for your body. They also got to know some new fruits and vegetables.
