Job Overview

ISR is accredited by the German authorities as an ‘Anerkannte Internationale Ergänzungsschule’ (International Supplementary School) and by the US accrediting agency Cognia (formerly known as AdvancED).
ISR is an IB World School authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme, and also offers Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) IGCSE courses. The school is a certified member of the Council of International Schools (CIS).

We wish to hire a dedicated and qualified full-time Secondary School Teacher (m/f/d) with experience in teaching Social Studies with a focus on Geography to join our dynamic educational institution from 01.08.2026.

The teacher is expected to create and deliver engaging lessons that captivate students' interest and foster a deep understanding of the core concepts. This encompasses not only conveying theoretical knowledge but also applying innovative teaching methodologies to cultivate critical thinking skills and real-world applicability.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

The candidate should:

have experience teaching IGCSE and IBDP or A-Level experience.
have excellent subject knowledge.
have a good understanding of personalized feedback and assessment.
have a passion for developing the whole child in a supportive and enriched classroom environment.
have a proven track record of excellent classroom and pedagogical practice and can demonstrate a positive impact in the classroom.
be committed to delivering the highest standards in teaching and learning.
be inspirational with high expectations of pupil attainment, behavior and well-being.
be willing to work collaboratively within the team and engage positively across departments.
be willing to arrange and support field trips, in relation to Geography fieldwork.
show interest in volunteering for extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a PGCE, B.Ed, M.Ed or other suitable education qualification. Only candidates having appropriate university qualifications and/or teaching qualifications will be considered.
