ISR is accredited by the German authorities as an ‘Anerkannte Internationale Ergänzungsschule’ (International Supplementary School) and by the US accrediting agency Cognia (formerly known as AdvancED). ISR is an IB World School authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme, and also offers Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) IGCSE courses. The school is a certified member of the Council of International Schools (CIS).

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified full-time Middle School Teacher to join our dynamic educational institution. The teacher will be expected to create and deliver engaging lessons that
captivate students' interest and foster a deep understanding of the world around them. This encompasses not only conveying theoretical knowledge but also applying innovative teaching methodologies to cultivate critical thinking skills and real-world applicability.

Responsibilities

Your Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Planning and preparation of core lesson subjects; Mathematics, English, Science and Social Studies
  • Help students to succeed in their learning tasks, promoting general progress and well-being
  • Communicate and consult with parents of students at parent teacher conferences (held twice per school year)
  • Contribute to and attend whole school meetings and events as required throughout the school year
  • Offer extra-curricular activities to support the ethos and enrichment of the school's provision
Qualifications

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge with experience teaching English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies at Middle School level
  • Showcase a proven track record of excellent classroom and pedagogical practice
  • Commit to attaining the highest standards in teaching and learning
  • Inspire with high expectations of pupil attainment, behaviour, and wellbeing
  • Possess technical expertise with Interactive Whiteboards, Office 365 and Zoom

Additional Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in the teaching subject
  • Have a minimum of two years of teaching experience as the lead teacher in a classroom
  • Demonstrate eagerness and willingness to inspire students and collaborate with teaching colleagues
  • Maintain high academic standards and a commitment to making a difference in international education
  • Ensure assessments support ongoing learning and provide timely, relevant, and appropriate feedback to students on formative and summative assessments
  • Exhibit effective classroom management that shows an understanding of the academic, social, ad emotional dimensions of learning
  • Knowledge of the Cambridge Primary/Lower Secondary program is an asset
