Our Düsseldorf kindergarten location has a new modern building and at this location we prepare around 100 children from the age of three for primary school in a multilingual environment. The kindergarten children are taught according to the same academic program as in our kindergarten in Neuss, making the transition to the ISR Primary School easier for the children.

The groups in our kindergarten are divided according to age. In this way, our highly qualified Early Years Educators, as well as the Early Years Assistants, can optimally address the needs of each individual child. The kindergarten in Düsseldorf-Niederkassel is open almost all year round, offering the children an enriching academic program as well as numerous opportunities for development through afternoon activities. The extended care hours offer families the opportunity to flexibly arrange their daily schedule while knowing their child is in the best hands.

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified full-time Early Years Educator to join our dynamic educational institution. The educator will be expected to create and deliver engaging lessons that captivate childrens’ interest and foster a deep love of learning. This encompasses not only supporting in learning, but also developing grace and courtesy skills which will support them as they move through the rest of their schooling.

Our Kindergarten is looking for a full-time Early Years Educator starting 1st August 2024.

Responsibilities
  • Following the program of instruction set out by ISR, collaborate with colleagues on a daily/ weekly basis
  • Teaching the subjects English (phonics, language, handwriting), Mathematics, Social Emotional Learning, Mindful Motoric Movement, Arts and Crafts, Music, Science Projects, etc.
  • Integrating a wide variety of activities and instructional approaches (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities, etc.) to motivate and stimulate the learning of each child
  • Monitoring the children’s development, strengths and areas for further development on a regular basis
  • Recording or documenting findings
  • Planning interventions to support the children’s learning environment and managing of the learning environment
  • Designing and setting up the learning environment at the beginning of the academic year
  • Guiding the learning of a group of approximately 20 children
  • Creating a harmonious and engaging learning environment. Develop positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents
  • Leading the Early Years Assistants to ensure a safe and stable daily routine for the kindergarten group
Qualifications
  • Have a degree in Early Childhood Education or a teaching degree – primary level
  • Experience in schools or academic kindergartens is preferable
  • Have excellent levels of spoken and written English
  • Extra qualifications such as a nursing degree or musical studies would be an
    advantage
