Our Düsseldorf kindergarten location has a new modern building and at this location we prepare around 100 children from the age of three for primary school in a multilingual environment. The kindergarten children are taught according to the same academic program as in our kindergarten in Neuss, making the transition to the ISR Primary School easier for the children.

The groups in our kindergarten are divided according to age. In this way, our highly qualified Early Years Educators, as well as the Early Years Assistants, can optimally address the needs of each individual child. The kindergarten in Düsseldorf-Niederkassel is open almost all year round, offering the children an enriching academic program as well as numerous opportunities for development through afternoon activities. The extended care hours offer families the opportunity to flexibly arrange their daily schedule while knowing their child is in the best hands.

We offer an enriching academic-based program with lessons in English, Math, and German where children can learn in a joyful way and can take the first steps toward developing reading and writing skills. Our preschool curriculum is a flexible program tailored to the needs of each child.

We are seeking a full-time Early Years Educator for our kindergarten in Düsseldorf.

Responsibilities

Support educator during the lessons, quiet time, lunchtime and outside play
Reinforce rules and behaviors of the learning environment for inside and outside activities
Ensure children's safety at all time
Encourage all children to behave in a respectful and polite manner
Assist with morning care and extended day care supervision in the group room and on the playground
Participate in weekly meetings with the head of the kindergarten and the educator
Assist children as needed

Qualifications

A high proficiency in spoken and written English
The ability to build effective and professional relationships with children, parents and staff
The ability to communicate confidently and effectively with children and adults
The ability to manage time effectively with a positive and flexible attitude
A commitment to equal opportunities
High levels of motivation and commitment to high standards
Some knowledge of technology in the learning environment (PC, Interactive Whiteboard, Tablet, Apps etc.)
Personal warmth and evident enjoyment of working with young children and adults
Experience in schools or kindergartens is an advantage
