ISR Robotics/Programming Camp 2023

Is your child fascinated with IT, Programming, and Robotics?

The ISR Robotics/Programming Camp will take place during our ISR Summer Break from July 31st to August 4th. This time, the Camp runs with two groups and will offer a wide range of different key areas. In order to best serve the children’s fields of interest, the groups are divided according to age (children from 10 to 14 years and from 15 to 18 years).

Our Head of IT, Mr. Aloof, will run the camp for younger students and will be exploring many IT technologies with them. Mr. Ellis, Head of Computing, will run an exciting camp for older students and focus on programming. In total, they will educate 25 interested students in IT-related topics.

In the camp week with Mr. Aloof, children from the age of 10 to 14 years will experience the following:

During the camp days, the children will take exciting virtual trips into space and learn to understand the technology behind Virtual Reality. In addition, children will experience a lot of fun with our 3D printer and will design and print something themselves, which they can then use in their everyday lives! Participating children will additionally learn more about robots and how they could be used in the future. An especially exciting part of the camp? The children will build robots themselves and learn how to program them –  great fun for IT-enthusiastic children!

During the camp week with Mr. Ellis, children from the age of 15 to 18 will experience the following:

The children will have the chance to build a fully functional app for an Android phone. They’ll learn how to program and design an app from scratch, developing their coding skills and creativity. In addition, they will also get to design a ‘CODER’ keyring using Blender, which will be 3D printed. Another exciting activity we’ll be offering is programming physical devices to create a robot that responds to its environment. Finally, the children will have the opportunity to use Unity to design and build a computer game. They’ll learn how to create their own 2D or 3D game, exploring the world of game design and development.

We look forward to your inquiry and another exciting ISR Camp!
