Enabling great minds and strong characters

ISR’s Vision for the Future: A Leader in International Education in Europe

As ISR continues to grow and thrive, we are driven by an inspiring vision to become one of the top international schools in Europe known for academic excellence. Additionally, we will continue to develop our students into well-rounded, multi-lingual, self-aware and socially-responsible global citizens.

Realizing our Vision

Being A Leader in Academic Achievement

To be a leading school in international education, we believe a strong academic background is essential. An academic benchmark for this vision is to be recognized among the top international schools in Europe with the highest IB grades. All of our graduating classes have already achieved top IB grades and university offers from highly-regarded universities world-wide. We will continue to expand our network of top university contacts around the world, offering our students even more university and career guidance opportunities.

In addition to academic benchmarks, we equally value surpassing our own achievements to reach our full potential as a school.

Providing Self-Development and Character-Building Experiences

Offering character-building experiences that enrich each student’s personal development is equally important as enabling their minds with knowledge and skills. We will continue to improve our wide-array of top-quality activities to enable our students to gain skills and knowledge in their areas of interest, from ballet and soccer to chess and charity work.

More opportunities will continually become available for our ISR athletes to compete in local and national sport competitions. Our music department is fully dedicated to offer top music training to our students, both in their music classes as well as through our partner music school. Our art department will increasingly compete in art competitions.

In addition, we continuously encourage every student to be involved with student life activities and leadership opportunities, including learning how to manage and lead student life departments and teams and attending our SABIS SLO® Leadership Training. The confidence, public speaking and presentation skills students learn are essential skills for university life and future career paths.

Preparing for Life: Becoming Global Citizens & Leaders

Not only do we intend to build on our strengths as an educational leader, we will be expanding our role as a pillar in our local community. Likewise, our students will be learning how to be involved as global citizens and leaders.

Our students make a difference

We will continue to increase the opportunities for our students to make a difference in the world as they grow into becoming responsible global citizens. Through our SABIS Student Life Organization® and in preparation for the IB diploma, we encourage and require our students to be involved in local, as well as international, community service and charity projects.

Social involvement helps our students learn self-awareness, social-consciousness and personal leadership, as well as develop a sense of purpose and direction for the future.

ISR in the community

As a school, we role-model community leadership by getting involved in partnerships and community initiatives. We actively reach out to our local Japanese, Chinese, Russian and Indian communities, as well as many local and international organizations and companies.

In addition, ISR works with charities, such as Friedensdorf and the Familienzentrum in Neuss, as well as others, to help our families make a difference to others. ISR is represented at many external events and will continue to increase our presence and involvement in our community.

As we increase our community involvement, we will be able to offer more community events at our school. We envision our community building efforts to include seminars, workshops and events at our school for our school community as well as the general public, such as recent events from the American Women’s Club and Canadian Business Club.

Connecting our Graduates World-wide: Building An Active Alumni Network

ISR graduates go on to study at well-regarded universities in Germany and around the world. As many ISR students have been together since early school years, they have formed strong friendships that can continue through university and beyond. Despite the distances, today’s technology makes it easy to stay in touch and network from around the world.

As our graduating classes go on to university and gradually enter the working world, we intend to build a strong world-wide network of ISR Alumni, whose experiences and networks can be of mutual benefit to ISR Alumni for years to come.

Core Culture

The following 3 principles guide our core culture and vision for the future.

  • We develop the full potential in every child.
  • We value each individual and find personalized solutions.
  • The management team and faculty members embody moral values.
