Over 30 Universities to visit ISR in March

ISR will be the host to over 30 universities at two university fairs for our students in March.

On Thursday, March 15, ISR will host our annual ISR College Fair, and this year we will have a record number of 22 universities present. The institutions include a wide variety from continental Europe, notably German universities, such as Aachen, Dusseldorf and Duisburg-Essen. There will also be well-known Anglophone business schools, notably IE and ESADE from Spain, WHU from the Koblenz area, Bocconi from Italy, Hult from London/San Francisco, and Modul University from Vienna. Also present will be the University of Dundee from Scotland, and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. This fair is directed mainly at our tenth and eleventh grade students, but parents are also welcome to attend the event from 14.30 to 16.15 in our foyer. (Tenth grade students who will be leaving for Hamburg that day will still have about 45 minutes to attend the fair before their departure.)

On Wednesday, March 21, in the afternoon, our tenth and eleventh grade students and their parents are invited to attend a presentation in our gymnasium given by 10 well-known British universities. The exact time will be communicated at a later date—though it will be in the early afternoon. We are very pleased to note that among these universities are several that regularly rank in the top 20 British universities overall, and others that are in the top few in particular fields. Two of the universities which will be coming are branches of the University of London: Royal Holloway and City University; Royal Holloway is particularly well-known in Physical and Life Sciences, while City is considered one of the UK’s leading universities for Finance. The Universities of Bristol (number three in General Engineering after Oxford and Cambridge), Lancaster (the top university in Marketing), Exeter (in the top 10 in Geography, History and English), Sussex (ranked top in the world for International Development Studies), and Leicester (one of the top in Architecture), also will be present, and all figure very highly in general UK university rankings. To round out the group, we will also have representatives from the Universities of Plymouth (one of Britain’s top in dentistry), Essex (famous for Politics), and Reading (particularly well-known in Business).

Should students and/or their parents in younger grades wish to attend any of these meetings, permission may be granted upon individual request to the University Counselling Office, at This email address is being protected from spambots.
