IB Art Exhibition
The IB Art Vernissage 2017 took place on 3rd March, with Grade 12 IB Art student Bin Z. displaying some of the artworks he has been created during the last two years. The artworks will be displayed until March 25th, the day our ISR International Spring Festival will take place.
The body of work focuses on Bin Zhou’s identity as a Chinese youth who has grown up in Germany. Fast food symbols are explored through traditional methods of printmaking and sculpture, as well as digital technology such as iPad drawings and stop motion animation. Dual nationality is presented through the lens of food, with McDonald’s symbols representing the west, and Chinese take-away symbols representing the east.
