New Families

New families and students are warmly welcomed into our ISR Community. Parents will be introduced to the Welcoming Committee and be given helpful information. You may also be introduced to other people from your home country who may offer language and adjustment assistance. The bilingual/multilingual school environment at ISR means that many families speak some English or German, as well as many other languages at various levels, which creates an inviting atmosphere to speak the language you are most comfortable with.

The Welcome Committee is an informal group of parent volunteers who welcome new families, arrange weekly coffee mornings, international breakfasts and casual meet-ups. It is fun to meet new parents from around the world and take part in cross-cultural exchanges. We encourage you to join our gatherings!

Friday Morning Coffee Meet-Up

Come join us for Friday Morning Coffee in the cafeteria. Drop off the kids, pick up a coffee or tea and then relax with other parents. There is always someone to talk to and always something to discuss. Come discuss upcoming events, worries, school related issues, the weather, music, food… you name it! We look forward to seeing you there! Please contact Alyson Keaton for more information (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

All parents are also highly encouraged to get involved with our Parent Network Class Representatives. It is a great way to meet people and feel at home at ISR.

Expats are warmly welcomed at ISR!
